Infernal Engine Velocity Physics Demonstrations

Head over to Hardocp and check out the Infernal Engine Velocity Physics Demonstrations.   In case you don’t know, the Infernal Engine is the game design that will powering the new Ghostbusters game being developed for the PC, 360, and Ps3.  It uses the cpu to power the physics to free up the gpu to used just for graphics.

3 Year Xbox 360 Warranty Now Covers E74 Error

If you are one of those lucky Xbox 360 owners who have received an E74 error on your screen, you are now eligible to have microsoft cover the costs as if it were the 3 red light error.   If you previously had it repaired for the same error, you will be reimbursed.

OnLive Video Game Service

Sorry I’m late posting.  School life is hectic! More posts this summer I promise you!

Anyways, OnLive is a subscription service that is supposed to stream your game to you in realtime in either 480p or 720p depending on your connection.  The video game rendering is done on the internet cloud of servers and you just receive the video and audio thus allowing you play higher end games on not so high end equipment.

Commodore 64 Titles added to Nintendo’s Virtual Console

Hi folks, sorry for the lack of updates.  Balancing work, school (6 course workload) and life has been quite a task lately. I’ll update more I promise!

Anyways, onto the update.

Nintendo has added 1 WiiWare and 3 Commodore 64 titles to their Virtual Console library.

Gears of War PC Patch

Epic has released a patch that fixes all those (which is everyone I believe) who have experienced their PC versions of Gears of War not working since the beginning of 2009

Windows 7 SKU Lineup

Geekzone has posted the SKU lineup for Windows 7. (so if it’s wrong, blame them, not me :))

The lineup according to Geekzone:

Windows 7 Starter: up to 3 concurrent applications, ability to join a Home Group, improved taskbar and JumpLists;

Windows 7 Home Basic: unlimited applications, live thumbnail previews & enhanced visual experience, advanced networking support (ad-hoc wireless networks and internet connection sharing), and Mobility Center;

Amazon.com Launches Video Game Digital Distribution System

Amazon has just launched a Video Game Download Section.  For now it’s only casual games priced around $6.99 - $9.99.  Like Steam you can purchase games and download to multiple PC’s.

Students Call Space Station with Home Built Radio

This is definitely something to be proud of.  Four college students in Toronto built a radio themselves and manage to contact the space station.  They managed to talk to one of the astronauts for 10 minutes.

Xbox 360 HDMI Audio Fix

When Microsoft rolled out the NXE some people had experienced problems getting audio to work through HDMI.  Microsoft is releasing a fix early tomorrow morning to resolve this issue, 2am pacific time.
